On Sunday, 16 April 2017, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 1), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. Two people were injured — a 55-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient) and a 66-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the Peugeot (40 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober.
