On Monday, 17 April 2017, in the evening at around 19:00, in Vilnius, on Kirtimų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 D and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings and failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
