On Thursday, 20 April 2017, in the evening at around 20:00, in Klaipėda, on Statybininkų pr., at the junction with I. Simonaitytės street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Yaris, a Toyota Avensis and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Toyota Yaris (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.10‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
