On Saturday, 6 May 2017, in the evening at 20:20, in Alytus, on Kepyklos street near No. 13A, a Mercedes-Benz C270 registered in Great Britain hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (7 years of driving experience), who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.23‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
