On Wednesday, 10 May 2017, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr. near No. 184, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz 2643 and a Volkswagen Polo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 69-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (39 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
