Drunk BMW driver hits a parked Volkswagen at Ateities g. and Fabijoniškių g., Vilnius
On Saturday, 13 May 2017, in the evening at 20:14, in Vilnius, on Ateities street, at the junction with Fabijoniškių street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.64‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
