On Monday, 15 May 2017, in the evening at 17:05, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 128.27), a BMW 728 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober.
