On Wednesday, 24 May 2017, in the morning at around 9:00, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 15.27), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF and a DAF. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the DAF (20 years of driving experience). The 56-year-old driver of the DAF was drunk (0.50‰). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
