On Sunday, 28 May 2017, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Kuršių street near No. 34, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat Variant and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Passat Variant (26 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
