On Friday, 9 June 2017, in the morning at 7:09, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Raseiniai–Baisogala national road (kilometre 15.25), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to comply with road signs or markings, exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs and failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
