On Monday, 3 July 2017, in the evening at 19:45, in Biržų district municipality, on the Krinčinas–Ličiūnai–Mieliūnai regional road (kilometre 10.50), a moped ran off the road. One person was injured — a 29-year-old passenger of a moped (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of a moped, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.38‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
