On Tuesday, 4 July 2017, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Lazdijų district municipality, Seirijų town, on Algirdo street, a Volvo XC90 registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the driver of the Volvo (20 years of driving experience). He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
