On Wednesday, 5 July 2017, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kauno district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 24, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Honda Civic and a Seat Toledo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Honda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
