On Tuesday, 11 July 2017, in the morning at 7:30, in Vilnius, on Geležinio Vilko street near No. 2A, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Toyota Prius. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
