On Sunday, 16 July 2017, in the morning at 10:27, in Panevėžys, on J. Zikaro street, at the junction with J. Lindės-Dobilo street, a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volkswagen. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
