On Wednesday, 19 July 2017, in the evening at 18:30, in Klaipėdos city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 305), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Carisma and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (11 years of driving experience). She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
