On Friday, 21 July 2017, at night at 2:14, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 62.80), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW Serie 5 and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (3 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.99‰ blood alcohol).
