On Thursday, 27 July 2017, in the evening at 17:22, in Vilnius, on Sodų street near No. 22, at a gas station, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Caddy and a Peugeot 205. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (22 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
