On Monday, 31 July 2017, in the evening at 18:20, in Lazdijų district municipality, on Turistų street, at the junction with Seinų street, an Audi A4 Avant registered in Estonia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Audi. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
