On Friday, 4 August 2017, in the evening at 20:01, in Vilnius, on Genių street near No. 14, an Opel Astra-G-CC hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 76-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Opel (4 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
