On Friday, 18 August 2017, in the afternoon at 12:35, in Vilnius, on Pilaitės pr., at the junction with Priegliaus street, a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 306 and a BMC. One person was injured — a 49-year-old cyclist (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Peugeot (27 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
