On Friday, 25 August 2017, in the afternoon at 14:45, in Anykščių district municipality, on Vilniaus street, at the junction with S. Nėries street, a vehicle hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
