On Monday, 28 August 2017, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kaunas, on Aušros street, at the junction with Aukštaičių street, a Renault hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 76-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Renault (34 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
