On Wednesday, 30 August 2017, in the morning at around 6:00, in Vilnius, on Laisvės pr., a Toyota Prius hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Toyota (7 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
