On Saturday, 9 September 2017, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Kretinga–Skuodas national road (kilometre 8.24), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Suzuki AN 400 and an Opel Astra. Three people were injured — the 65-year-old driver of the Suzuki (hospitalized), a 53-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient) and a 64-year-old passenger of the Suzuki (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Suzuki (47 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober.
