On Wednesday, 13 September 2017, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kaunas, on Zarasų street near No. 37, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Fiat 500, an Audi A4 and a BMW 525. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Fiat (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
