On Thursday, 14 September 2017, in the evening at 17:47, in Biržų district municipality, on the Pasvalys–Vabalninkas regional road (kilometre 18), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Ducato, an Audi A6 and a Volkswagen Transporter registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Fiat (23 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
