On Wednesday, 27 September 2017, in the morning at 6:50, in Kaunas, on T. Ivanausko street near No. 152, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 75-year-old driver of the Opel (28 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
