On Friday, 29 September 2017, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kaunas, on A. Juozapavičiaus pr. near No. 81, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Seat Altea and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Seat (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
