On Saturday, 7 October 2017, in the evening at 21:41, in Klaipėda, on Šilutės pl. near No. 38, a BMW 324 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.62‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
