Drunk Audi driver in crash with three other vehicles on the Šiauliai–Palanga road
On Tuesday, 10 October 2017, in the afternoon at 13:19, in Telšių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 76.75), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80, a Scania, a CMT, a Volkswagen Bora and a Volkswagen Passat. Two people were injured — the 70-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Passat (treated as an outpatient) and the 19-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Bora (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Audi (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.52‰ blood alcohol).
