On Thursday, 12 October 2017, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Jokūbavas national road (kilometre 10), a falling cargo occurred. The accident involved a Mercedes-Benz and a truck. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of a truck (19 years of driving experience), who violated cargo-transport rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
