On Friday, 13 October 2017, in the afternoon at 14:20, in Lazdijų district municipality, on the Alytus–Seirijai–Lazdijai national road (kilometre 23.62), a BMW 320 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
