On Sunday, 15 October 2017, in the evening at 17:16, in Klaipėda, on Statybininkų pr., at the junction with Šiaulių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Safrane, a Volkswagen Passat and a Mercedes-Benz Actros 1841. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 70-year-old driver of the Renault (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
