On Tuesday, 24 October 2017, in the morning at 5:30, in Kaunas, on Panerių street, at the junction with Rūgštynių tak., a BMW 325 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
