On Wednesday, 25 October 2017, in the afternoon at 14:50, in Kauno district municipality, Šlienavos village, on Girionių street, a Ford Focus hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Ford (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.41‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet.
