On Saturday, 28 October 2017, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Ventos street near No. 79, an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 14-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
