On Monday, 30 October 2017, in the evening at 17:20, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr., at the junction with Birštono street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo and a BMW 520D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Volvo (22 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
