On Thursday, 2 November 2017, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Ariogala–Raseiniai–Kryžkalnis national road (kilometre 25.09), a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (22 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
