Drunk, hit-and-run BMW driver in crash with Renault on Senamiesčio g., Panevėžys
On Thursday, 9 November 2017, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Panevėžys, on Senamiesčio street near No. 49, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 318 and a Renault Master. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (2.49‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
