On Friday, 10 November 2017, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Baltų pr., at the junction with Rasytės street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V70 and a BMW 525 D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volvo (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was raining, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
