On Thursday, 16 November 2017, in the evening at 19:41, in Vilniaus district municipality, Platiniškių village, on Adomo Mickevičiaus street, at the junction with Platiniškių street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 D, an Opel Insignia and a BMW 330D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the BMW 530 D, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
