On Saturday, 18 November 2017, at night at around 3:00, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Linkuva–Joniškėlis–Pumpėnai regional road (kilometre 25.90), a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
