On Sunday, 19 November 2017, in the evening at 17:31, in Vilnius, on F. Vaitkaus street, at the junction with A. Gustaičio street, a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.03‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
