On Wednesday, 29 November 2017, in the morning at 7:45, in Panevėžys, on S. Daukanto street, at the junction with Vysk. K. Paltaroko street, a Mazda CX-7 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 14-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Mazda (21 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
