On Thursday, 30 November 2017, at night at around 1:00, in Kaunas, on Baltų pr., at the junction with Žemaičių pl., a Ford Focus hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Ford (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
