On Monday, 4 December 2017, in the morning at around 9:00, in Panevėžys, on Molainių street, at the junction with Nemuno street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and a Skoda Octavia. One person was injured — the 60-year-old driver of the Skoda (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the BMW (30 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
