Drunk, unlicensed Volkswagen driver crashes on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Sunday, 24 December 2017, at night at 0:50, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 38), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Sharan and a Koegel SN 24. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to give way when changing direction. She was drunk (1.78‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
