On Thursday, 4 January 2018, in the afternoon at 15:50, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Minskas (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 12), a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.53‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
