On Monday, 8 January 2018, in the evening at 18:11, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, Pūstapėdžių village, on the Vilkaviškis–Kalvarija regional road (kilometre 3.96), a Toyota Land Cruiser hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 68-year-old pedestrian, who was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest). He was drunk (2.05‰ blood alcohol).
